“Smooth and comfortable operation.”
Ann and Martin have this absolutely right. The house is beautiful - spacious, light and so comfortable. The cleanliness is impeccable. Yet the house is a home, with two glorious cats and an informal feel. It was everything that I hope for in a stay away from home and we would stay again in a blink. The breakfast was perfection too. Do go.
Excellent B&B
Stayed (for the second time) with our friends in order to visit Glyndebourne, and once again it was a real treat. Beautifully appointed rooms, very welcoming hosts, lovely surrounds, and a delicious breakfast. What more could you ask for?

The owners have totally refurbished, with great care, this bright and very clean modern house. Arriving in early afternoon, we were welcomed with tea (a wide collection) and yummy homemade cakes, brought to us on the rear patio overlooking the attractive garden. We were delighted with our well equipped room, comfortable bed and en suite (excellent shower but no bath). The pre-booked breakfast (selected from a wide choice) was delicious and punctually served. We were admirably looked after throughout, with helpful directions for our arrival, to Glyndebourne and on our departure.

We had a wonderful welcome with tea and home made cake and couldn't have been made to feel more comfortable at the lovely White Lodge. Ann and Martin went out their way to ensure we had everything we needed, even organising our dinner reservations and transport around the area throughout the weekend. The breakfast was extensive and delicious especially Ann's home made bread. The room looked directly out into the wood so we woke to the sound of birds which was delightful. The bed was very very comfortable and the bathroom finished to a really high spec, there really wasn't anything else we could have asked for. Thanks for looking after us so well.
This month we have had guests for Glyndebourne and more Australian guests enjoying catching up with relatives and the homeland! Plus honeymooners enjoying a relaxing weekend stay after all that organising and celebrating getting married at Lewes Castle.This weekend we welcome guests to the annual Love Supreme Jazz Festival.
