Book An Autumn Escape At White Lodge Luxury B&B

Updated: May 16, 2023

With so much to do and see in East Sussex now is the time to book your autumn escape to the countryside. White Lodge has availability from the end of September 2021 to explore the many National Trust properties such as Nymans, Sheffield Park or Batemans. The Bluebell Railway is only a 15 minute drive away or 20 minutes to The South Downs and Brighton & Hove. We are surrounded by fabulous places to eat wether it be a local pub or in the nearby historic town of Lewes.

It has been fabulous welcoming back guests and meeting new ones this summer.

White Lodge is proud still to be the number one bed and breakfast for Lewes based on reviews submitted to Trip Advisor by guests who have stayed with us.

Why not book a relaxing two+ night break. Direct bookings are appreciated we offer the best prices for direct bookings on www.whitelodgesussex.com or by phone/email call Ann on 01273 400151 or email us at stay@whitelodgesussex.com

Here are some of our most recent reviews from Trip Advisor for summer 2021:

Glyndebourne guests:

The Best B&B

A most excellent B & B, everything possible taken care of. Immaculate house and kind and very considerate hosts. Everything possible done to anticipate and meet guests’ needs. The breakfasts were superb. We would highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future. We have stayed in many and varied B & Bs around Lewes and this is undoubtedly the best by far.

High Expectations Surpassed

Given the glowing reviews and the Number 1 status we arrived with high expectations. These were exceeded. The house, grounds and surrounding countryside are all beautiful and the hosts exceptional. Ann and Martin were attentive without being intrusive, a difficult balance.. We felt we could entirely relax and enjoy their care. Ann is well networked locally. This ensures top class local produce at breakfast: try, for example, the excellent locally smoked salmon. Ann and Martin are also very knowledgeable on all the local places of interest and restaurants and pubs. They also got us a very efficient and delightful taxi driver, Brian, who ferried us through the Sussex countryside to Glyndebourne and elsewhere. Our only regret is not trying Ann's delicious home baked wheaten Irish bread (her mother's recipe) until our last morning. If nothing else an incentive to return! Thank you Ann and Martin for three splendid and memorable days....

Weekend Escape

Lovely greeting by Ann who remained actively helpful throughout our stay. Delightful cheese platter served on arrival. Beautiful bedroom (Spinney) with a lovely view over the garden presented to a very high standard. Delicious sourced and home made produce for.breakfast served by Martin in the tranquil dining room. Stunning lounge to fully unwind in the evening. Great recommendations for dinner.

Really Lovely unique B&B

A really lovely, unique property - a relaxing base within easy reach of many places and pubs and several spaces to enjoy the garden from. Delicious freshly cooked breakfasts with plenty of options and homemade cake every day! Friendly and helpful owners who made us feel well looked after in the current climate. Would highly recommend and would love to return another time.

A Great Stay At White Lodge

We recently stayed for two nights with our friendly hosts Ann and Martin in their spacious, clean and beautiful home in the Sussex countryside. All our needs had been preempted, the facilities are five star and the breakfasts are to die for. Highly recommended.

Wedding Anniversary Celebrations

Luxurious accommodation in a wonderful setting

Fantastic accommodation with all the luxuries you could want, including homemade cake in your room each day and wonderful homemade Irish bread. The setting was amazing with the historic town of Lewes and Seaford nearby. Ann & Martin are amazing hosts and made our 40th wedding anniversary stay very special.
