"A wonderful stay"
The best B&B we have ever stayed in. Luxury accommodation, delicious breakfast (and cake on arrival) and wonderful in door and outdoor space to enjoy. Thank you for making this birthday celebration so special, nothing was too much trouble for Ann and Martin, they really did go the extra mile to make sure everything was in place for a wonderful weekend away. We will be back! Tina & Michele August 2017
"Wonderful luxury bed and breakfast"
This was not just b&b. It was so much more. We arrived early afternoon and were given homemade cake and tea and coffee. Dietary requirements were catered for, some amazing gluten free chocolate brownies for me, which everyone else also loved.
The whole house has been very tastefully refurbished to an excellent standard. The bedrooms upstairs were spacious, and the bathrooms very luxurious. Every eventuality thought of. We returned from Glyndebourne, to be welcomed by one of the hosts. We had use of the lovely lounge to sit in, and enjoy whisky and wine, for which glasses were available.
The choice for breakfast was fantastic, you could really have anything, ordered the day before. The gardens were well tended, and very peaceful to sit out in. There were plenty of garden chairs, in the garden and on the roof terrace.
Thanks very much Anne & Martin, for making us so welcome. Our American friends who were with us have fallen in love with this part of the country! As have we. We will definitely be back next year, if not sooner. Debbie, Jon and the clan. July 2017
"5 star experience"
I discovered White Lodge B&B on Tripadvisor and was impressed by all the positive comments left by guests, so decided to book a short break as a birthday surprise for my husband. Our experience was equal to the glowing comments on Tripadvisor.
Ann greeted us warmly, and took us to our room - the Spinney - which was the height of luxury, (especially the wet room) and had super views of the extensive garden and woods. We then enjoyed afternoon tea, with delicious homemade cakes on the terrace.
Ann had already prebooked our evening meal, and provided us with a detailed map to get us there. We enjoyed our breakfasts, served in the modern dining room. An excellent choice of fresh and cooked food was available and served by Ann and her husband Martin. We were spoilt for choice! All in all, we could not fault any aspect of our stay, would love to make a return visit, and thoroughly recommend this delightful venue! Brain & Sheila July 2017
"Countryside paradise"
My wife and I were there 3 nights during our visit of Glyndebourne Opera Festival. Top modern, clean, peaceful, bathrooms of the latest standards (we will copy some ideas at home). The garden a little oasis to mentally prepare for the operas in the evening.
Hospitality top as well. A romantic place, pure countryside, so we had to search for it because we didn't program the postal code into the GPS - as suggested! The road to Glyndebourne is short and highly romantic as well, full-moon, "The cock" (a pub) belong to it.
We will return for sure. Only problem - they only have 3 rooms. So I hope we get the tickets for the festival early. Reto & Trude, July 2017
